Week beginning 30th November

This week we will be working on our topic of Jesus the Light.

In maths, we will be looking at graphs and charts, in our data handling topic.

In English, we will continue our diary work, all based on our pirate adventures.

Well done again to the children for Thursday. It was a wonderful assembly.

Week beginning  23rd November 

Next week, we will be having a busy time. On Tuesday, we will be going to the High School for our science lesson with Ms Hillidge, on sound. On Thursday morning it is our class assembly. We will be sharing our work on London. 

Our RE this term will be focused on Jesus the Light. We start this unit by looking at festivals of light in other religions. 

In maths, we will be finishing our work on shape for this term and starting to compare measures. 

In English we will be writing a diary extract, from the point of view of an explorer. 

Mo came for a visit

The lady from the Dogs Trust paid us a visit today with her friend, Mo. We learnt about how to look after a dog and how to be a good dog owner. Mo liked our class as she sat in the bosses seat! We also learnt about the yucky side of looking after a dog!

   
    
   

Week beginning 16th November 

Next week, we will hopefully finishing our work on London. The children are looking forward to sharing their work with you on Thursday 26th November, at our class assembly.

In maths, we are starting a week on shape, as you will see from this week ‘s homework. 

In English, we will be completing our letters from Colombia and have another go at filming.

Week beginning 9th November 

Next week we will be continuing to work on our London project. 

In English, we are continuing to work on our character descriptions for our detectives. We will then look at letter writing. The children are really enjoying our El Dorado project. 

In maths, we will be looking at fractions and decimals. 

I hope you enjoy the fireworks at the weekend.
