November 2nd

When we come back we will be looking at London. The children have different attractions in London they will be researching and painting. 

In maths, we are looking at fractions. 

In English, will be be creating different characters for our detective stories.

I hope you all enjoy your half term. 

Last electricity lesson

Today Year 4 got to test their knowledge of circuits and conductors by creating a game. They each made a buzzer or bulb game which tested their steady hands as they competed against each other.

All the children have really enjoyed this topic. 

   
    
    
   

Last week of the first Autumn term

This week we will be continuing to look at the life of David from the Bible and create some artwork based on his psalms.

In English, we will be writing our Viking stories. 

In maths, we will continue to solve multiplication and division problems.

This week is also assessment week. 

At least we have a week off after that to look forward to. 

Week beginning 12th October

The children have chosen London as their topic for the beginning of next term. Please can you support the children to investigate which landmarks in London the would like to study. 

We are hoping to finish our topic on the Anglo Saxons next week and start our RE work on David. 

In maths, we are working on division and continuing to practise our times tables. 

In English, we will be writing a story set in Viking times. 

Week beginning 5th October

We have had a fun, noisy time making up our own Anglo Saxon battle chants this week.

Next week we will be learning more about the Anglo Saxons and the Viking raiders. 

In English, we will be continuing our stories set in the Roman times. 

In maths we are moving onto multiplication. 

We are not at the High school on Wednesday as we in church with the Harvest celebration.
